The water your family drinks is the most
important component in their diets, their very health depends on it
being pure.
And pure water is getting harder to get.
You are now responsible for the quality
of your families drinking water. The maintenance of that quality water
supply may very well be one of your most important jobs.
Full water analysis is both time
consuming and expensive, but as the importance cannot be over
emphasized, it should be an essential part of your overall plan for
establishing and maintaining the quality of your drinking water.
Your water source may be a small or large
Municipal Water Treatment Plant, a water well, spring, rainwater or
other sources.
It is very strong possibility that your
water will be contaminated with a number of chemicals, bacteria,
organisms, gas, heavy metals, and/or other harmful ingredients to
numerous to name here. Some of these contaminants may be naturally
occurring, some may be the result of industrial pollution and some have
been put there by your City Water Treatment Plant.
Your municipal water treatment facility
may deem it necessary to add a variety of chemistry to maintain the
quality of your water.
1.sequestering chemistry to keep the iron in your aquifer from turning
your water red with oxidation. .
2. chemicals to kill bacteria, small
microscopic organisms, microbes, molds.
3. Water with high acid or base may require PH
adjustment.
4. Fluoride treatment for dental
considerations;
There are many chemicals used
in water treatment, take a look at the following EPA link for more
information on these chemicals and their possible impact on your water.
